Set in the chapel, the blended service at 9:00 am offers a relaxed atmosphere. The challenging message remains the same as the Traditional service, but the music and environment provide a more casual Presbyterian worship experience.
In a celebration of the historical Presbyterian Church, the Traditional service at 11:00 am offers the same order of worship used since the 16th century. A 65 member Sanctuary Choir guides the musical aspect of the worship service, and the liturgy comes from the Book of Common Worship of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Even with the reverence of the Traditional service, the sermon remains progressive and intelligent for today.
Wellshire strives for musical excellence in both services, and we offer vast opportunities to get involved with our music department.
The Sanctuary Choir prepares numerous traditional works throughout the year including: Handel’s Messiah, Rutter’s Magnificat, and Bach’s Contata 62. Download a full list of works here.
At the 9:00 am service, Confluence Worship Band and the Celebration Singers accompany the congregation through an upbeat and joyful music style.
Children have the opportunity to share their musical gifts with the congregation after preparing musical pieces in Children’s Music which meets at 9:55 am on Sunday mornings.
