Sunday Morning Adult Education Classes:

9:45 – 10:45 AM

Abiding in Jesus: Room 207. We will begin reflecting on spiritual disciplines and how they relate to our individual strengths and gifts, using the book, Sacred Rhythms: Arranging our Lives for Spiritual Transformation, by Ruth Haley Barton. There will be copies available in class but the book is not necessary for participation.

The Difficult Words of Jesus: Room 208. Beginning January 16th. Author/scholar/teacher Dr. Amy-Jill Levine calls us to “‘wrestle’ with some of Jesus’s more confusing, controversial, and historically damage-inflicting words as recorded in the Gospels.” Participants have an opportunity “to find even Jesus’s most difficult words a catalyst for new learning, closer fellowship with him and each other, and continued growth as the people of God.” Class Facilitator: Rita Stagg. Books are available but not required.

Clif’s Notes: The Book of Revelation: Room 206
