Wellshire Presbyterian Church holds to the Reformed theology of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) which emphasizes the grace of God in Jesus Christ, our heritage from the founder of the Reformed tradition, John Calvin. We hold that God loves the world and calls us to actively participate in the redemption of the world. As such, we do not shy away from the hard, broken, hurting places around us. We are a church that attempts to live and act in accordance of the love of Christ through community, worship, and service.
Worship at Wellshire values the Word of God as a witness to God’s self-revelation found in the Holy Bible. Scripture texts are taken from the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), and chosen by the pastor preaching on Sunday—Rev. Dr. John H. Bell or one of our associate pastors, Rev. Katie Robb Davis or Rev. Julia Fenn. The music, preaching, and Sacraments in worship are designed to enhance our understanding of God’s work in our lives and world.
