Program

Wellshire PDO is in session from September through May. We operate Monday through Friday from 9:25 am to 1:30 pm. Your child will begin and end the year in the same classroom, and with the same teachers and classmates.

Classes follow a daily schedule that includes free play, music, stories, big room, and playground. Our daily activities are based on PDO’s monthly themes.

Parents provide snack and lunch for their child. Children go home for naps or rest at the end of the day.

PDO is located in Wellshire Presbyterian Church on the west side of the building. Our School is licensed by the State of Colorado, and follows the rules and regulations set by the Department of Early Childhood.

PDO classes are licensed for specific age groups, ratios and capacities. Qualified teachers are in each classroom who are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration.

Teachers have background checks and fingerprint checks prior to working at PDO. PDO has a low teacher turnover rate, and many of our highly qualified teachers have been here for 5, 10, and even 15 years.

PDO CLASSES

Class is determined based on a child’s age on September 1 of the current school year regardless of the time of year a child enrolls.

Teddy Bear Class

13 months & Walking -18 months
7 Children with 2 Teachers
May attend 1 or 2 days per week within the Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday cohorts

Bunny Class

19 months – 24 months
8 Children with 2 Teachers
May attend 1, 2 or 3 days within the Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday/Friday cohorts

Puppy Class

25 months -2.5 years
10 Children with 2 Teachers
May attend 1-3 days per week

Dolphin Clas

PDO’s Young Preschool Class
2.5 years – 3.5 years
12 Children with 2 Teachers
Current PDO children may attend 1-4 days per week
Children new to PDO may attend 1-3 days per week

Croc Class

PDO’s Preschool Class
3 years – 5 years
14 Children with 2 Teachers
Current PDO children may attend 1-5 days per week
Children new to PDO may attend 1-3 days per week
