Wellshire Presbyterian Church holds to the Reformed theology of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) which emphasizes the grace of God in Jesus Christ, our heritage from the founder of the Reformed tradition, John Calvin. We hold that God loves the world and calls us to actively participate in the redemption of the world. As such, we do not shy away from the hard, broken, hurting places around us. We are a church that attempts to live and act in accordance of the love of Christ through community, worship, and service.
Worship at Wellshire values the Word of God as a witness to God’s self-revelation found in the Holy Bible. Scripture texts are taken from the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), and chosen by the pastor preaching on Sunday—Rev. Dr. John H. Bell or one of our associate pastors, Rev. Katie Robb Davis or Rev. Kira Anderson. The music, preaching, and Sacraments in worship are designed to enhance our understanding of God’s work in our lives and world.

Parking at Wellshire can be challenging. We have three parking lots on the east, west, and north sides of our church. You are also welcome to park on the residential streets to the west of the church, but please be kind to our neighbors and avoid parking in front of any driveways. Handicap-accessible parking spaces are available in each of our parking lots. View a parking map here.
Babies and Children
Babies and children are always welcome in service with you.
If you prefer, we offer a nursery and childcare center with age appropriate activities during our Sunday morning services for children six weeks through preschool. Staffed by professional Wellshire childcare workers (who have successfully completed a background check and first aid/CPR training), the classrooms are located on the lower level of the church; always feel free to ask for directions!
We request that you sign in your child at drop-off and sign out at pick-up.
Children who are in kindergarten and beyond begin in worship with their parents.
After a dedicated time for children in the 9:00 service only, ages kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to head out the doors where our volunteer Sunday School teachers and assistants will be waiting to escort them downstairs.
Please pick up your child after service downstairs in their classrooms.
During the 11:00 am service, there are activities in Kid’s Corner in the back of the Chapel.
Adult education is offered from 10:05-10:55 am on Sunday mornings.
Rooms and classes are subject to change, so please ask an usher or greeter, check the screens located around the church, or take a look at the announcement page of the bulletin for updated information.
What to Wear
We care more about you than what you’re wearing, so please wear whatever makes you comfortable. Generally, most people come in “business casual”, but you will also see 3 piece suits and jeans and t-shirts!
