Who We Are

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE

Welcome to Wellshire Presbyterian Church, where faith, community, and service intertwine to create a vibrant spiritual home. We invite you to join our inclusive congregation as we journey together, embracing the rich traditions of our Presbyterian heritage while actively seeking to address the evolving needs and challenges of our modern world. Whether you are seeking a place to worship, opportunities for personal growth, or ways to make a positive impact in our community, we warmly welcome you to be a part of our Wellshire family.

Wellshire Presbyterian Church holds to the Reformed theology of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) which emphasizes the grace of God in Jesus Christ, our heritage from the founder of the Reformed tradition, John Calvin. We hold that God loves the world and calls us to actively participate in the redemption of the world. As such, we do not shy away from the hard, broken, hurting places around us. We are a church that attempts to live and act in accordance of the love of Christ through community, worship, and service.

The mission of Wellshire Church is to seek, embrace, and nurture disciples within an inclusive community of hope. We are called by Jesus to worship God, and to serve our neighbors.

WORSHIP

Worship at Wellshire values the Word of God as a witness to God’s self-revelation found in the Holy Bible. Scripture texts are taken from the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), and chosen by the pastor preaching on Sunday—Rev. Dr. John H. Bell or one of our associate pastors, Rev. Katie Robb Davis, Rev. Julia Fenn, or Rev. Kiersten Hill. The music, preaching, and Sacraments in worship are designed to enhance our understanding of God’s work in our lives and world.
