Kendall Memorial Library

THE KENDALL MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Located just within the east entrance at Wellshire and is typically available for use by the Wellshire community during regular church hours (8:30 am to 3:30 pm weekdays and 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sundays).

A library cart with curated book selections is available in the Narthex on Sundays, where Wellshire members and friends can conveniently peruse and check out books between services.

Hosting a large and growing collection of fiction and non-fiction books for adults and for children and featuring secular and spiritual materials, the library allows books to be checked out for three weeks or simply enjoyed in the nearby seating. Patrons can browse the catalogue at the computer located on the check-out desk.

Checking out a book is self-service. Follow the instructions on the check-out desk.

In 1965, the Wellshire congregation established the Kendall Memorial Library in memory of the Kendall family, members of the church who tragically lost their lives in a car accident the previous year.  Mary Lou, the wife and mother honored by the library, served Wellshire as a Sunday School teacher and now passes on a legacy of education through the library bearing her name.
